Marcus Kwikiriza bounces back to radio

Marcus Kwikiriza bounces back to Radio. He bounced back as the General Manager of Next Radio, the latest addition to the Next Media Service brands. Next Radio bought off 106.1 Jazz FM at a staggering price and since the Kololo based consortium only works with the best talent, they sought out Marcus from his retirement to manage the radio station.

We caught up with Marcus and this is what he had to say about his new role;

We thought you had retired from radio, why the comeback? I had retired completely, but the opportunity to be part of a game-changing product(station) got me and this is that station.

How does it feel coming back?

Feels very exciting because we are working on something truly amazing

What beliefs do you hold for Next Media as the new radio?

I honestly believe that it’s going to change everything you thought you know about Radio. I have worked in radio for over 20 years in 3 countries, so trust me on this.

Why should listeners tune in?

Listeners will tune in because of many reasons but mainly because everyone will be tuning in. Tones of content, music, laughter and more…

What’s going to make Next Radio outstanding?

Without giving you much right now, just start by going to 106.1 FM and something may make you stay, but that will just be the beginning…

Are we likely to hear your voice or will you be behind the scenes?

We are currently in the recruitment phase and I’m hoping to find new fresh talent so that I don’t have to come back. Let’s see how that goes.
