VIDEO: Apologise to Deputy Speaker, parliament, MPs tell Otto

Members of parliament regardless of their political affiliation have advised the Aruu South legislator Samuel Odonga Otto to withdraw his statement against the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanya whom he accused both in the Chambers and on social media of incompetent and partisanship in presiding over parliamentary sittings.

The angry legislators also want MP Odonga Otto apologize to both Parliament and the office of the Deputy speaker as his lose talk has tainted the image of the August House.

“His behavior was uncalled for; why would he make such baseless allegations. It is not true that the speaker has been chossing only NRM people, are Ssemujju (Nganda) and Medard Sseggona from NRM? Latif Ssebagala, Kawempe North MP.

The legislators also wondered how a senior legislator in the House can fail to respect the rules of procedure asking the parliamentary commission to organise for him a special fresh orientation.

Mp Odonga who vowed on Wednesday never to attend sittings chaired by Deputy Speaker Oulanyah was not in the house chaired by Oulanyah to give his position
