Kaizer Chiefs' Walusimbi, Salim Jamal join Cranes camp

Uganda Cranes left back Godfrey Walusimbi who recently joined South African giants Kaizer Chiefs, goalkeeper Salim Jamal and Edrisa Lubega 'Torres' have joined Cranes camp in preparation for African Cup of Nations qualifying game against Tanzania on Saturday.

With few international players including Denis Onyango and Faruku Miya expected to join the team later, Walusimbi , El-Merreikh shot stopper Jamal and Edrisa Lubega joined the team's morning training session at the Sartimes stadium in Lugogo.
“The training champ is doing well and I hope will do better on Saturday,”Jamal said before adding that the home advantage will play a vital role in Cranes performance on Saturday.
The Saturday game will be a test to coach Sebastien Desabre since it will be his first competitive game in charge of the Cranes.
Uganda tops group L with three points whereas Tanzania and Lesotho are level with a point each in second and third positions with only one game played .
The top two teams from the group will qualify to the final tournament to be hosted by Cameroon next year.
