SC Villa defender Katongole joins Vipers on two year deal

Ahead of the CAF Champions League and resumption of the Uganda Premier League, Vipers Sports Club have added another player to their ranks.

The Kitende based club have announced the signing of SC Villa defender, Henry Katongole on a two year contract.

The player had previously been declared a free agent by the FUFA players’ status committee after breaching of contract terms by SC Villa.

The Venoms earmarked the centre back following consistent superb performances at SC Villa. Katongole joins the Venoms on a two year contract and will now ply his trade for the Kitende based side until 2020,”Vipers announced on their website.

The defender had previously played for Wankulukuku based Express FC before joining SC Villa in 2015 spent three years at Villa Park.

Having parted ways with a number of pillars in their campaign last season including tactician Miguel Da Costa, Nicholas Wadada and Erisa Ssekisambu, Vipers are keen at reinforcing their team ahead of the new season.

Recently they announced the signing of Javier Martinez from Mexico as their head coach to add onto the already made signings including Abraham Ndugwa, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Dickens Okwi, Tito Okello and Livingstone Mulondo among others.
