Former Minister Syda Bbumba husband dead
Former Finance Minister Syda Bbumba’s husband is dead. The death of her husband was announced by the clerk to Parliament.
In a message to all parliamentarians, the clerk said, “The Clerk to Parliament informs Members and staff of parliament about the death of Hajji Bbumba, husband to Hon. Syda Bbumba (Nakaseke North). Burial is at 4 pm today at Kisasi, the burial ground of the Ssebaggala family. It was sudden. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
The deceased Hajji Abdu Bbumba had reportedly been unwell for some months now. He had been in and out of hospital receiving treatment.
Hajji Bbumba, a businessman, was born into the illustrious Ssebaggala family. He was the brother of former Kampala Mayor Hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala, businessman Medi Ssebaggala of Ssebaggala and Sons Electronics and others.
He owned a string of businesses. He was the sole importer of distributor of Delident toothpaste in Uganda and owned Apex dry cleaners.
