President Museveni showers wife with praise on 70th birthday

It is just important not to let someone's birthday pass by, more so if that someone really means something to you.

To some however, a birthday is usually shrugged off as a celebration for children but not President Yoweri Museveni.

The head of state, who could even be excused due to his fixed schedule spared a moment to shower praise on first lady, Janet Kataha Museveni in a loving birthday message.

Using his verified Twitter platform, Museveni noted that 'Mama Janet is an exemplary mother and has mothered many other children in this nation.

" Please join me in wishing Maama Janet a happy 70th birthday. She is an exemplary mother to our children and has mothered many other children in this nation. May God grant you many more years of continued health as you serve this country," the president said in a tweet.

Many others, including the first son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba followed suit with loving heart felt messages using different social media platforms.

"Happy birthday to my dear mother @JanetMuseveni. May you have many more happy and fulfilling birthdays Mama Janet."

Minister of ICT, Hon. Frank Tumwebaze also sent her regards to the first lady who also doubles as the minister of education and sports saying that her role as the country's mother and intercessor has touched and built so many lives.

"The only reward to you can't be anything else but God's mighty blessings."
