Mowzey Radio suspected killer committed to High Court for trial

Entebbe chief magistrates court has committed Godfrey Wamala aka Troy to High Court for trial for allegedly murdering Moses Sekibogo also known as Mowzey Radio.

The singer died early this year due to head injuries sustained during a bar brawl in Entebbe.

Wamala was charged and remanded to Kigo prison in February and will have his trial at the next convenient session of the High court.

On Monday, State Attorney Julius Muhiirwe told Chief Magistrate Susan Okeni that investigations into the matter are complete and that he had instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions to send him to High court for trial.

According to evidence, the DPP intends to adduce against against the accused, on the fateful date Wamala was seen with the deceased at the De bar drinking, before a scuffle between the two ensued.

DPP also says there is overwhelming evidence placing Wamala at the scene of crime and exhibits such as  telephone print-outs of calls made before,  during and after  Mowzey Radio's death, plus a sketch plan of De bar where the fight took place on 22nd/January/2018.

Recently, the singer's relatives, friends and family members stormed the Entebbe court demanding for a speedy trial.
