Leo Kiyemba wins World Cup trip courtesy of Nile Special

Leo Kiyemba, 28, woke up in the morning not knowing what the day held for him.

By 2.00 PM on Friday, his fortunes had changed after he was the confirmed winner of the Nile Special World Cup Competition which entitles him to an all-expenses paid trip to Russia  to watch the world biggest soccer showpiece that starts on June 14

Kiyemba defeated two others in a thrilling competition held at NBS TV.

What the participants had to do was to show up at NBS TV, take part in a mini-soccer competition and answer correctly questions related to the World Cup.

Kiyemba emerged victor with a total of eight points.

The taxi owner told Nile Post that he was excited about the  achievement and thanked the sponsors, Nile Special for organising the show.

"I feel very happy. It is a wonderful opportunity to go to the World Cup. I have been watching the previous tournaments on TV now I will be there," an excited Kiyemba said after he was presented with his dummy return air ticket.

Other participants were also rewarded. Jonathan Okumu Ringa who came second walked home with a Hisense LED TV while Jonathan Waiswa who came third won a Kwese TV decoder.
