Flying squad boss dropped in new police changes

The Inspector General of Police, Okoth Ochola has rung new police reshuffles dropping ACP Herbert Muhangi as Flying Squad commander.

According to a transfer note obtained by Nile Post, Muhangi has been reverted to general duties and will now head manpower audit inside human resource directorate.

In the note, IGP Ochola directs that: “Pursuant to section 6 (1) (a) of the police Act cap303, the following transfers and appointments are ordered with immediate effect.”

Also transferred are; CP Sagal Abraham from IGP’s office to Interpol, to head boarder monitoring unit, SCP Womanya Elly  transferred from Interpol and appointed deputy director Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and D/SSP Odong Mark Paul appointed chairperson organised crimes under the SIU.

Ochola also ordered that the flying squad unite be recomposed and all the personnel that have been under the Flying Squad Unit report to CID Headquarters in Kibuli as late as 16th May 2018 for further deployment.
