Student runs from home fearing punishment over poor performance

Police has recovered a student who has been missing since Friday last week.

Sophia Mafi, 15, a student from Victory High School went missing after picking her report on Friday last week.

It is reported that Sophia on receiving her report from school did not return home, prompting her guardians to report case for a missing person at Entebbe Police Station.

However, Police confirm that after a thorough search, Sophia was found hiding at her friend’s home in Entebbe.

She informed police that for fear of her parents’ wrath following her poor school performance, she couldn’t return home.

Also, Rihanah Ndagire, a young girl reported last week to have disappeared from her home has been found and reunited with her mother.

Police also in February discovered a groom, Tumwebaze Phillip Wabwire who was reported to have gone missing just days to his wedding with Mercy Twinomujuni.
