“It is yet another exciting moment for UWA as Edirisa Musuuza commonly know as Eddy Kenzo signs deal as Tourism Ambassador. He promises to unleash to the world Uganda's unique Wildlife and promote Uganda's tourism destinations,” the statement reads in part.
Kenzo at the beginning of this month donated his awards to the Uganda Museum to boast tourism.
Last year, the government of Kenya named the Ugandan singer ambassador for tourism, causing an uprising from Ugandans on social media as to why another country should use our own musician to market their tourism.
In statement from Kenzo he expressed his satisfaction at marketing Uganda, which he calls home.
“It was a pleasure working with Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), thank you for trusting me Kenya. As we all know east or west home is best. We embark on a new journey as I sign as the Uganda Tourism ambassador,” he said.
“I will work hand in hand with all tourism departments to promote our tourist attractions, and I’ll continue flying the Uganda flag so high with God grace and mercy. Thank you my Uganda, for God and My country,” he added.
