URA FC coach Nkata resigns following ‘massacre’ by KCCA FC

Following their heavy defeat to defending champions KCCA FC , Uganda Revenue Authority FC coach Paul Nkata has thrown in the towel.

On Tuesday, the Kasasiro boys humiliated the tax collectors 7-2 at Lugogo in the Azam Uganda Premier League, prompting Nkata to throw the spanner in the works shortly after the game.

“Coach Nkata Paul has resigned with immediate effect as head coach of URA football Club,” URA posted on their official twitter account.

The club CEO Edward Kulubya confirmed the development adding that they will forever be indebted for the services Nkata has offered to the team.

“We applaud him for the time he has served the club and wish him fruitful deliberations,”Kulubya said.

Nkata took over the club for his second spell in December after the then tactician Ibrahim Kirya was sacked over dismal performance by the club.

He had earlier been sacked by Kenyan side, Bandari FC .

URA are eighth on the 16 team log in the Azam Uganda Premier League on 31 points, having won only once in the last five games, losing twice, the same number of times they have shared points with their opponents.
