Patience Museveni: "I saw God with my own eyes, he promised to transform Uganda"

Patience Rwabwogo Museveni, President Museveni’s daughter last week told a congregation that she held "a conversation with God" before she decided to get saved.

Patience had been invited as a special guest by Pastor Wilson Bugembe at Worship House, Nansana where there was a gathering of Pentecostal leaders dubbed: God's Generals Meeting.

According to a news report from Ugchristiannews.com, Patience who heads Covenant Nations Church, used the occasion to narrate how she became saved at the age of 11 years.

She claimed that the vision to get saved came to her one night, while she was sleeping.

Patience said: "Every night for about a year I could see the same thing; an image of the continent of Africa. In this vision, Africa was dark, and I would hear a voice that would say; out of what was called darkness will come a great light. And then I saw someone blowing a great trumpet – then a light started coming out of Uganda. It started as a very small light but grew bigger and bigger. As it grew bigger it expanded into other parts of Africa, until the whole continent was full of light. Then it started going out of Africa to the world."

She said God replied: "The light will come from within you – meaning us. He said; just as a life is changed from the inside out, Africa will be changed from the inside out. He said; you are always looking outside yourself, looking to other people/countries to be your light, but the light is inside of you. And as that light shines brighter, it will go out to other nations."

She said she then asked the Lord, why the light  was coming out of Uganda and God reportedly replied:

"Uganda is the heart of Africa. Just as a light comes from a heart that is transformed, a life is transformed. When Uganda is transformed, He said, Africa will be transformed."

Patience said in 2006, she decided to set up a church to take her evangelism to a higher level.

"God has a purpose for Africa. God has a purpose for you. And as you fulfil your purpose in life, Uganda fulfils its purpose. And as Uganda fulfils its purpose, Africa fulfils its purpose. As Africa fulfils its purpose, it becomes a light to the world."
