Norwegian national arrested with 3kg of heroine
A 53-year-old Norwegian national identified as Arntzen Karin Elizabeth, is behind bars for allegedly being in possession with unlawful narcotic drugs.
The Aviation police confirmed the arrest of the suspect last week at the baggage screening point at Entebbe international Airport .
"We have arrested a Norwegian national in possession with three polythene bags wrapped in cello tape containing suspected heroine weighing 3,706 grams", said the police statement.
The police further said that the seized items were submitted to the analytical laboratory in Wandegeya for analysis.
The suspect Arntzen was scheduled to travel to Brussels aboard Brussels Flight SN 3169.
A case file AVPOL CRB 065/2018 was opened and charged with unlawful possession of Narcotic drugs c/s 4(1) and 2(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances (control) Act 2016.
