A team from Voice of America (VOA) has lauded Next Media for championing credible journalism, quality programming and being at the frontier of digital media.
Next Media is the umbrella group for NBS TV, Nile Post, Salam TV, Sanyuka TV, Dreamcatcher and Next Communications.
The is currently on a tour of major broadcasting stations in Africa.
It is headed by Sonya Laurence, the chief of the English Service at VOA.
Sonya said she was impressed with the journalism and quality broadcasting she had seen at Next Media brands.

She said the company's flagship product, NBS TV, has been a very influential media house not only in Uganda but in Africa.
"NBS is doing superb journalism and we are happy to partner with it," she said.
The CEO NBS TV Kin Kariisa attributed the rapid growth of NBS TV to its ability to take on challenges that many are afraid to take on.
"Everyone in this town knows us for being the best TV when it comes to LIVE programming," he said.
Kariisa said NBS TV shall remain relevant because it has continuous mentorship programs and trainings.
