BREAKING:Museveni drops Kayihura as IGP, Tumukunde replaced as Security minister

 

President Museveni has dropped Gen.Kale Kayihura as the Inspector General of Police, the Nile Post has learnt.

According to the new reshuffle, Kayihura has been replaced with his deputy Martin Okoth Ochola as the Inspector General of Police.

“In the Exercise of the powers vested in the President by Articles 113 (1) and 213 (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, Mr. Okoth Ochola as the Inspector-General of Police and Brigadier Sabiiti Muzeei as the Deputy Inspector General of Police,”read the statement from Museveni.

The reshuffle has also seen the security minister Lt.Gen.Henry Tumukunde dropped and replaced with Gen.Elly Tumwine in the new appointments that take immediate effect.
