Missing lady, Susan Magara, is dead, body dumped at Kigo

The body of Susan Magara, who went missing a couple of weeks ago has been recovered at Kitiko Birongo along the Kampala Southern Bypass.

A cousin to Susan Magara, Fiona Singura says that police contacted them regarding the death of their sister.

“It is just unfortunate because we were still trying to collect the money the kidnappers had asked as ransom,” she said.

Singura says that one of their relatives recognized the body as Susan Magara’s.

“We were called by police after a body of a girl was found in a bush, one of our relatives confirmed it is Susan,” she added.

Meanwhile another family member said they are yet to confirm if the body is indeed for their relative. The member only identified as Andrew said the entire family is waiting to see the body then will confirm.

A close friend to Susan Magara, Pesh Aloyo told Nile Post that they had received phone calls from Susan's workplace confirming the death.

"Yes we have been contacted and people from work say she has died, but we have not see the body yet."

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Luke Oweyesigyire confirmed that Magara was dead but referred us to  Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima, for further details.

"She is dead. It is true but Afande Kayima is handling the matter."

By time of filing this story, Kayima's known mobile phones were unavailable.

Magara, 28, was kidnapped by unknown people on her way home in Lungujja, Lubaga Division more than two weeks ago.

She worked as an administrator at a family business owned by her dad, John Magara.
