Amama Mbabazi's "boy" lands international job

Adam Luzindana Buyinza, once a blue-eyed boy of Amama Mbabazi, the former prime minister, was last week appointed Executive  Secretary and international ambassador of the Asian Africa Development Council (AADC).

AADC operates in Asia and Africa with coordination centres in India, Pyongyang, Beijing, Moscow, Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, Riyadh, Damascus, Brunei, Saigon, etc.

We have been told that in this new position, Luzindana shall participate in meetings of the UN economic and social commission, in the Kashmir peace dialogue, in the Israel-Palestine peace dialogues and play an advisory role on UN Social Development Goals.

He told The Nile Post that he was elated by the appointment.

"It is evidence that my efforts are being recognised internationally. I will do my best in order to fly Uganda's flag high," Luzindana said.

Luzindana came to the fore in early 2015 as leader of the NRM Poor Youth, which rooted for Mbabazi to replace President Museveni.

He was arrested on several occasions by security agencies before he quit politics for business.
