Sam Mwanda is new executive director of UWA

Sam Mwandha has replaced Dr Andrew Seguya as the executive director of the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Mwandha came top in the final interview, followed by Achilles Byaruhanga, a birding enthusiast and the incumbent Andrew Seguya came third.

Mwandha has been the chief party at Africa Wildlife Foundation. He served as a warder 10 years ago and an UWA Community conservation warden.
