Does Museveni have only four attires?

President Museveni’s press secretary, Ms Linda Nabusayi on Wednesday revealed that her boss has only four attires in his wardrobe.

Ms Nabusayi using her twitter handle stated that Museveni only has yellow and white shirts for his routine work, suits for his official national or foreign engagements, and an army uniform for security related events.

“Did you know President Kaguta Museveni has only 4 attires in his wardrobe all year…well almost. Yellow and white shirts for daily work. A suit for national and foreign schedules and army for anything related to security,” Ms Nabusayi said.

She also added that the president’s attires are made in Uganda to support the campaign of buying locally produced products dubbed BUBU.

Checked shirts

Although quite rare, President Museveni has a little love for checked shirts. While hosting former Libya president Muammar Gaddafi in Kampala a decade ago, Museveni donned a checked shirt while his counterpart chose the military fatigues.

He has once in a while been spotted in a checked cream shirt as well.

Sports wear

President Museveni is one who has made it clear that he loves sports, he actually claims he was a sportsman. Other sources intimate he still goes jogging in the morning.

What is clear though is that for those that have seen president Museveni at sports functions, he always has a sporting attire. Save for during campaigns when he was spotted more than once kicking a ball on streets in nonsporting attire.

Sweaters

Museveni in certain cold seasons will move about in a suit but with a black or navy blue sweater inside.

In his recent visits to the US and Europe, President Museveni adopted very fitting suits, that was not the only new thing about him, but with each day, he had a sweater inside the suits, in either black or navy blue.

However, the sweaters are not new, they can be traced in his images even decades back.

Other shirt colours

President Museveni has been spotted in other shirt colours, notably; Purple, pink, cream and light Grey.

While operating at his model farm in Luweero, President Museveni stuck to a light grey shirt.  He would later have another light grey shirt two days later while delivering speech at a press conference.

Museveni also appeared in a purple shirt on one of his farming duties and during a walk in Luwero around the same time. While visiting the family of the late George Lule, who provided NRM rebels his house to act as a medical store, Museveni was donning a a purple shirt. He had been spotted in the same shirt in 2011 while laying a foundation stone at Nyarugunga primary school in Rwanda.

Museveni has also been seen donning a pink shirt a number of times.
