Kayihura moves District Police Commanders, sacks Gulu’s
The Inspector General of Police-IGP, Kale Kayihura has replaced suspended Gulu District Police Commander Joseph Akiiki, and transferred 10 other police commanders.
Akiiki was interdicted after he was shot by a security guard in November 2017 for illegally accessing Taks Center. Now, Kayihura has relieved Akiiki of his duties as Gulu District Police Commander and replaced him with Emmanuel Mafundo from Maracha district.
