James Oloya, a stage master at Lira said only two vehicles have travelled to Lira today since most of their would be customers are still in the villages.

He said: “We are receiving very few passenger, today we have send only two  vehicles  and we hope business  will come back to normal by the end of this month. our transport fare is still at Shs 12,000 to Lira we have not change.”

The situation is however different with operators of bus companies that ply the long routes.
