Rugby League: Black Pirates take on Rams

The Black Pirates will be taking on Rams in the Nile Special Rugby Premier League with high hopes of completing a treble of victory's today at Legends grounds.

The Sea Robbers are second on the 10-team log having won their first two games.

In their last outing on Saturday the Pirates defeated defending champions Hima Heathens 23-16 in a game where they started positively and finished strong, thanks to Ronald Tumusiime and Mohammed Haruna brisk tries and Conrad Wanyama's well taken penalty and two conversions that sent a huge statement to this years championship challenge.

A win will send the Pirates atop of the log since the side they are facing today seems to be very porous defensive wise and blunt in the offense having only scored goals in their last two games.

Rams lost 00-43 in their seasons opener against BetWay Kobs and again in their second game they fell to Toyota Buffaloes 06-26.

And tomorrow on Saturday, the reigning champions Heathens will be battling it out with the Toyota Buffaloes in a Kampala derby.

The Hima Cement Heathens will be vying to recover from their previous defeat and gain momentum for the hunt of this years title.

Whereas the Buffaloes will be out aiming to make it two wins out of three league games.
