Mugabe’s ministers leave him in cold as they snub cabinet meeting

A cabinet meeting called Tuesday morning by under fire Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe failed to happen following an abysmal attendance that saw just four ministers out of 31 turned up.

A notice by Mugabe’s chief secretary announced the Tuesday morning’s Cabinet meeting at State House and said all ministers “should attend.”

However, a tweet by one minister, Jonathan Moyo, indicated that several had left the country. And indeed it turns out Mugabe had no option but cancel on his own meeting with the cabinet ministers.

Sources in Zimbabwe tell Nile Post that among those who showed up for the meeting include; Edgar Mbwembwe, the minister of tourism, environment and hospitality industry, Mike Bimha, minister of industry and commerce, Joseph Made, minister of agriculture, mechanization and irrigation development and Prince Machaya , the Attorney General.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Parliament is currently sitting to start the process of impeaching President Mugabe.
