UPL: Mutebi expects tough opponents as defending champions host Police

KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi expects to get a good run for his money when  the defending champions host table leaders Police FC in the Azam Uganda Premier League on Wednesday.

Speaking during a pre-match press conference at the Star Times stadium at Lugogo on Tuesday, Mutebi said his team would be cautious as they approach the game against the cops.

“We play table leaders and they are not at the top by accident. We expect them to put up a good fight,”Mutebi told journalists.

Abdallah Mubiru was last year appointed Police FC head coach previously having been the boss at KCCA FC and tomorrow will be another day for the soft spoken tactician to face his former paymasters at Lugogo.

Speaking about Mubiru, KCCA FC’s Mutebi was full of praises for the former and his entire team for a free flowing game they have exhibited this season.

Police are top of the Azam Uganda Premier League table on seventeen points.

“As a football fan, I would like to watch teams play good football like Police does.Their coach(Mubiru) falls in my category( of coaches who play free flowing football),”Mutebi said  of his fellow tactician.

The defending champions coach says he expects an end to end game on Wednesday, adding that their previous six nil win against Masavu will catapult his boys to a better performance.

“Since they scored six(against Masavu),it means they are now fired up.”

The defending champions KCCA FC are fourth on the sixteen team log of the Azam Uganda Premier League.
